Roger Select
Charging, switching on, muting, Bluetooth, phone calls and group listening.

How to recognise it: A round table microphone with six directional segments that can focus on speakers around a table.

Three safe first checks
Try these in order, beginning with the hearing aid. If something looks damaged, unusually hot or unsafe, stop and request service.
- 1
Start with the hearing aid
Fit a fresh hearing-aid battery before changing any Roger settings. If the hearing aid is rechargeable, confirm it is fully charged and restart it first.
- 2
Charge and unmute
Charge Roger Select with its approved equipment. If the centre light is red, press the centre touch key to unmute the microphone.
- 3
Place it centrally
Put Roger Select flat and unobstructed in the middle of the table. It focuses towards the active talker automatically; tap directional segments only when you intentionally want to favour particular speakers.

Something isn’t working
Work through one symptom
Do not change several settings at once. After each check, test the same simple speech task again.
The group is difficult to hear
Fit a fresh hearing-aid battery first, or fully charge and restart a rechargeable hearing aid. Place Roger Select centrally and unobstructed, unmute it, and tap the centre key if you want to return from selected directions to the whole group.
It does not connect to the listener’s devices
After the fresh-battery check, use the official RogerDirect or receiver setup for the exact hearing devices. Do not assume Bluetooth pairing is the same as joining the Roger network.
Bluetooth or phone audio is not working
Confirm Roger listening works first, then follow Phonak’s separate Bluetooth or phone-call video. Remove and repeat a Bluetooth pairing only when you are sure you are changing the correct connection.
